Tommy Lee Faces Lawsuit for Alleged Sexual Assault in Helicopter Post Cocaine Use
Tommy Lee, the rocker, is in hot water. A woman has accused him of sexual assault, which allegedly occurred in a helicopter cockpit two decades ago.
The woman, known only as Jane Doe, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles. Page Six got hold of the details. She alleges that the Mötley Crüe drummer was “forcibly groping, kissing and penetrating her with his fingers, and attempting to force her to perform oral copulation”. This happened during a 40-minute flight from San Diego County to Van Nuys, Calif., in February 2003.
She was invited onto the chopper by pilot David Martz. She had a friendly relationship with Martz since he was a patron at her bank. But things took a turn for the worse once they were airborne.
Martz pulled out alcohol he had stored in the helicopter and began to mix drinks, she alleges. Both the pilot and Lee drank alcohol, smoked marijuana and snorted cocaine during the flight. But she didn’t partake in the booze offered to her.
At some point, Martz invited her up to the cockpit. That’s when Lee allegedly began to sexually assault her. The assault became even “more forceful” when she tried to pull away.
“Lee penetrated plaintiff with his fingers while fondling her breasts,” the lawsuit states. He then pulled down his pants and attempted to force her head towards his genitals. She was in tears, trapped with nowhere to go.
The woman is suing for gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence. She claims the alleged incident has left her with “great shock, distress, humiliation, shame, and guilt.” She’s seeking past, present, and future damages, including medical expenses and loss of earnings.
Page Six reached out to Lee’s reps for comment, but no response yet. He hasn’t addressed the allegations on social media either. The woman alleges in her suit that she decided to come forward now because Martz, who died in an aviation accident in 2015, had a history of illegal behavior.
Lee was detained for a DUI in 2009 and reportedly had a long list of disciplinary issues. These led to him losing his pilot’s license at least three times. Doe’s attorneys declined to comment further on her case against Lee.
