The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer’s Pregnancy Storyline – Is a Baby with Chance in Her Future?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) suddenly has a clear path to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) now that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has broken things off with him.

Sharon didn’t want to hold Chance back from an opportunity to find someone he could build a real relationship with.

Since Sharon just didn’t see a future with Chance, she set him free so he could find the right woman and create a future with someone else.

Summer is quite interested in growing closer to Chance, so he may eventually decide she’s indeed the right woman.

Of course, if Y&R wants to seal the deal on Summer and Chance as a couple of the future, there’s a surefire way to do that. Perhaps a new little Newman-Chancellor could become part of the picture.

Right now, it’s still early in Chance and Summer’s love story, so they still have to take all the necessary steps – like having their first kiss and ultimately hitting the sheets together for the first time.

Once Summer and Chance take their relationship into more intimate territory, that’ll open the door to a pregnancy storyline for Summer.

It’d be a great way to move things along for this couple and force the pair to figure out if they’re all in.

Chance and Summer could make a bigger commitment to each sooner if she winds up with his bun in the oven.

Back when Chance planned to have a baby with Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway), he found out he had low sperm count and low motility. However, Chance’s doctor told him that the issue could correct itself at some point.

The problem was that Abby didn’t want to wait and find out. Instead of postponing their family plans, Chance and Abby agreed to use a sperm donor.

The point is Chance’s sperm and motility struggles could indeed clear up. It wasn’t necessarily a permanent thing, so there’s no need to worry about that.

Although Summer has stepped up as a mom to Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez), she doesn’t get to spend nearly as much time with him now that she’s split from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

Plus, there’s always a risk that Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) will get out of prison and fight for custody. Tara may not be content to let Summer play Mommy to Harrison forever!

Maybe this could be Summer’s chance to have a new child of her own – one that nobody’s going to try to claim once her stint in the slammer is over.

As for Chance, he’s never connected with Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) quite like he should.

Chance missed the early stages of Dominic’s life in Spain and just couldn’t bond with Dom like Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) did as his bio dad.

Although Chance will always be there for Dominic, it’s clear that he’s not the kid’s main father figure.

Will Summer get pregnant in the coming months and give Chance another opportunity to bond with a baby from the very beginning?

Time will tell, but a baby could be an interesting joint path for Chance and Summer to head down.
