Almond is a frequent reporter on NPR’s Here & Now and on WGBH which are both located in Boston. On October 27, 2011, Almond appeared as a guest on the podcast WTF featuring Marc Maron. Almond has also been hosting a live podcast series alongside Hallelujah the Hills band leader Ryan Walsh entitled “This Has Been A Disaster – Thanks For Having Us.” In an interview with Newsmax TV on January 28 of 2014 Almond asked the people to support him in boycotting this year’s Super Bowl because of the dangers to the players in relation the possibility of brain injury. Almond hosted his podcast the Dear Sugars podcast for four years alongside Cheryl Strayed.
