Quandre Diggs, born January 22, 1993, is an American football safety for Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). After playing college football at Texas, he was selected by the Detroit Lions as a cornerback in the sixth round. The Lions promoted Diggs from safety to the position during the 2017 season. The Lions traded Diggs from the 2017 season to the Seattle Seahawks.
In the Detroit Lions’ season opener at the San Diego Chargers, Diggs made his professional regular season debut and recorded two solo tackles. Diggs stopped a five-yard reception by Keenan Allen in the fourth quarter, his first tackle of his career. Diggs made his debut in the NFL on October 23rd 2015 and recorded four tackles in their Week 7 loss to Minnesota Vikings, which was a 28-19 defeat. He was promoted to first-team nickelback the following week. This was after Nevin Lawson, who had been moved to outside cornerback due to Rashean Mathis’ concussion. On October 22, 2019, Diggs was traded along with a 7th round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Diggs made his debut with the Seahawks in week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.
