Marcaux brings chaotic fun and chilled-out vibes in new single and music video "Aaron"

When you’re constantly releasing music, there becomes the issue of it being less enjoyable, and with that in mind comes Marcaux with his new track, “Aaron”. It was created in his bedroom with the plan to just take it back to where he started with making music because it’s fun. This follows up his collaboration with Cruz on the single “Me Está Gustando (Live At Flux Studios NYC)”.

Marcaux, real name Marco Bellomo, is a hip-hop artist who comes from Long Island, New York. He is known for taking hip-hop to a whole new level, mixing it up with pop, rock, and even alternative. In doing so, he has managed to build up quite the fanbase. For many years, he has been known for being a rapper, with intensity and great flow, but it wasn’t until a few years ago that he realised he wanted to incorporate pop music into his tracks, and it’s really paid off with “Harm” and “Cedar Creek” receiving critical acclaim as well as millions of streams. He’s gearing up to dropping a brand new EP titled “Mom, Pick Me Up, I’m Scared” which is set to have the singles “Icing” and “Aaron” included on the track list.

Alongside the releases, he has dropped cute and colourful artwork for the singles. He seems to release a vision for artwork during each era, and for this new EP, we’ve got a cute but conniving devil, and a super cute cupcake – we are excited to see the cover art for the new EP.

Written by Marcaux, who also co-produced the track alongside Aire Atlantic, “Aaron” is a fun hip-hop number that has incredible flow and unforgettable beats that mix amazingly well with the alt-pop chorus that is determined to get stuck in your head. Marcaux really did just go all out for this, it feels natural and unedited yet filled with awesome rhymes and flow to blow you away, and then add on Marcaux’s brilliant intonation when rapping and singing, and that really does cover “Aaron”.

Talking about the track, Marcaux said: “This song was made in my bedroom hanging with my best friend. The point of this entire project was to go back to making music for the fun of it and the creation of this song was exactly that.”

The music video has been directed by Stephan Stanzione, who also appears in the visual and can be seen playing the drums in the van behind Marcaux. We watch the three friends – which also includes Gabe Anguita – on a drunken night out, where they just get up to various mischievous fun, easily taking the essence of how the song was created, and using that as the basis of the video. There’s plenty of laughable moments, which are cut between a performance visual of Marcaux rapping and singing in the back of a van with Stephan Stanzione playing the drums. It’s a wild music video that accompanies the track perfectly; let’s be honest, we all kind of need a night out with Marcaux and his friends.
