Lucas Van Foreest is one of the most popular and richest Chess Player who was born on March 3, 2001 in Groningen, Netherlands. Lucas is the son of four brothers and one sibling. Jorden, Lucas’ oldest brother (born in 1999) was the youngest chess grandmaster of Dutch history. He won the Dutch Chess Championship in 2016 at the age 17. Machteld, his sister (born in 2007), won the Dutch Girls’ U10 Championship at age 6 and was second in the Dutch Girls’ U20 Championship at age 9. She became the first Dutch U12 Champion girl in 2017.
Van Foreest was the International Master in 2016, and was awarded the Grandmaster title at age 17. He is currently the No. He is the No. 1 Dutch player under-18 as of November 2018. His brother Jorden, a member of the Van Foreest clan, won the Dutch Chess Championship 2016 in his country. Arnold and Dirk, his great-great grandparents were also three-time Dutch Champions.
